Fiber reception,
controlled to the dBm.
The AFR-250S is a compact dual-channel Radio-over-Fiber receiver featuring a 1.3" OLED display that shows, in real time, RF level, optical loss, supply voltage and attenuator value per channel. Two powering modes (DC push-pull or DC-feed from a splitter), aluminum housing, optional 19" rail mount. Made in France.

Highlights
1.3" OLED, four readouts
RF level per channel, optical loss per channel, supply voltage, attenuator value per channel: everything you need to diagnose a fiber link in one second.

Compact and stackable
Close to AS-122 footprint: on a sound cart, in a bag, or mounted 4-up on a 19" bar. The same unit across every setup.
Bag · cart · 4× on 19"
Per-channel attenuators
Adjust sensitivity per channel to balance levels in multi-antenna setups, or to protect the downstream chain from an antenna placed too close to a transmitter.
Per channel · adjustable
Two powering modes
Classic DC push-pull power, or DC-feed from a downstream splitter (AS-62, AS-122). One less cable in the rack.
Push-pull · or DC-feed
Visual alerts
Dedicated LEDs flag excessive RF level or excessive optical loss. Chain issues surface to the eye, not to the scope.

Recyclable aluminum housing
Machined aluminum: passive thermal dissipation, mechanical strength, and 100 % recyclable at end-of-life. Consistent with the rest of the BSRF range.

Use cases
Mobile sound recording
Recover two fiber antennas in a sound bag
AFB-250 on the stage side, AFR-250S on the mixer side, powered by the AS-62 splitter DC-feed: fiber replaces coax in a sound bag without adding a power brick.
Fiber diagnostic
Spot a degrading fiber in real time
The OLED shows optical loss per channel. A drifting value warns before the hard failure — useful for rental gear moving between shoots.
Semi-permanent install
Rack 4 fiber receivers on a 19" bar
The 19" bar version accommodates up to four independent AFR-250S: eight RoF channels in 1U, each with its own OLED, attenuator, DC-feed.
