Radio over Fiber — Hybrid combiner 2 coax + 4 fibers

Close over coax,
far over fiber, same receivers.

The ACH-642 is a dual-channel hybrid combiner that sums two coaxial antennas (100–900 MHz, DC-feed) and up to four fiber antennas (via AFB-250) into two output BNCs. 1U rack form factor, universal mains power. Designed for setups that mix nearby stage and distant zones. Made in France.

Highlights

Near and far, combined

Two nearby coax antennas + four remote fiber antennas, summed on two output BNCs. One rack covers both the immediate perimeter and distant zones.

2 coax + 4 fiber

VHF to UHF on coax

Coax inputs accept 100–900 MHz: VHF IEMs, broadcast UHF, HF camera. Fiber inputs stay in the AFB-250 band (470–800 MHz). No band restriction on the local side.

Coax 100–900 · fiber 470–800

Coax DC-feed

12 V / 200 mA on each coax input: you power active antennas straight from the ACH-642, like on any BSRF splitter.

Use cases

Multi-zone broadcast

Cover stage, dressing rooms and auditorium with one combiner

Two coax antennas in the auditorium ceiling, four fiber antennas spread across dressing rooms and backstage: the ACH-642 sums it all onto two BNCs for the control-room wireless receivers.

OB-van event

Mix nearby stage and relay antennas

Coax for antennas right on stage, fiber for antennas in the stands or on a neighbouring building: the same HF rack receives with no coverage hole.

Permanent theatre

Consolidate existing infrastructure without rebuilding

Keep existing coax antennas in place, add fiber antennas in new or hard-to-reach areas, and wire everything into an ACH-642: two BNCs out, no full redesign.
